• Goedgedacht – A busy community development centre where a determined effort is being made to make a real contribution to the most critical problems facing all of us – poverty amongst rural children and youth, and climate change.
Located in a very beautiful old Cape Dutch farm situated on the slopes of the Kasteelberg, 87 km North West of Cape Town. A unique characteristic of the work of Goedgedacht has been our determination to make their development programmes self-sustainable in the long term.
The farm has been planted with olive groves and now produces, at Goedgedacht Farm, a world class extra virgin olive oil and table olives that are sold mainly in Pick ‘n Pay supermarkets around South Africa. Go olive picking and tasting or spend a weekend away on their working farm.
The old buildings at Goedgedacht farm have been renovated and added to and now offer an 80 bed conference, workshop and retreat centre to organisations and groups.

• Montebello Design Centre – This Design project centre is situated in the farm buildings of the historic site of Montebello in Newlands. This centre supports local art, craft and design.
